I stumbled upon Dr. Johnson's obituary. I was saddened to learn of her passing. She was such a significant part of my family's life. My mom Gay Ann Jones-Whitworth worked for Linda, then transitioned to patient as Dr. Johnson meticulously helped her determine she had Crohn's (before anyone know what Crohn's disease was). I particularly owe her a lot of gratitude, as she delivered me when mom's Crohn's started competing with me for room and had to go into emergency surgery for her Crohn's and a c-section. I remember going with mom for a visit when I was in my late teens. Dr Johnson, pointed to me, and told her nurse that I was one of the last babies she had delivered in the OR. She was the only person my mom would trust for her Crohn's issues for decades. Later on, she was also involved with my grandmother, father, aunts, and cousins care as well. While I rarely was around her, Dr. Johnson holds a special place in my heart as well as my families. Condolences to the family and please know she touches countless lives with her knowledge, humor, and kindness. Sincerely, Daniel Whitworth (Behalf of Oma Jones, Gay Ann Jones, the Jones family, and the Whitworth family).
